Upon joining the Teaching Academy, university teachers receive recognition for their contribution to pedagogical development and excellence in teaching in the form of a certificate confirming membership.
Teachers admitted to the Teaching Academy receive a yearly payment, corresponding to a fee of ISK 50,000 per month, based on prices 4 November 2021.
The amount is a fixed sum in ISK, regardless of the teacher’s position in the wage table, and is paid upon admission to the Teaching Academy and throughout the teacher’s career at the relevant university.
