The curriculum vitae is usually divided into three parts. Below are suggestions on the contents of the teaching portfolio:

  1. Pedagogical reflection

The teaching portfolio begins with a chapter on professional reflection. Such sections often contain the following points:

  • Short introduction.
  • Table of contents.
  • A brief list of what you have taught (for example courses, study paths, study paths).
  • A brief description of your basic views on learning and teaching. Give 3-4 examples of how you have dealt with challenges in teaching.
  • A brief description of how you envision your future in teaching.

Length should be about 5.000-7.000 words.

2. Appendicies

Evidence must be submitted to confirm the applicant’s teaching career and development. All data must be related to teaching matters, please do not submit unnecessary data unrelated to teaching. Here are examples of data that can be used:

  • Teaching surveys
  • Student feedback
  • Awards or recognitions
  • Tutorials
  • Course descriptions
  • Study materials
  • Project reports
  • Published material on teaching
  • Peer-reviewed articles
  • Presentations
  • Management or participation in teaching-related projects
  • Jobs as a supervisor or supervisor

The following must be included in the CV:

  • Social security number (kennitala)
  • Address
  • Phone number
  • E-mail

Information on education and work experience

  • Education
  • Work experience
  • Language and computer skills
  • Other

The letter from the dean of the applicant’s faculty shall describe the applicant’s contributions to teaching in said faculty, study program, or field of study.
